I have breeded my super blue hmpk pair and got these fish.

Their mother is my blood line but I bought their father from market because his form and color is perfect. Both their mother and father are super blue color.

I breeded them and got these fish. I think their father has fancy blood line ,too but fancy color doesn't show on him...it shows on his children.

I love this generation so much...blue fantacy is very awesome!!...I sold 3 of these 4 fish to America already.

I will update my new breeding again soon.

Hi everybody,
Now I have finished a lot of jobs and have enough free time to share my experience on betta fish again. This month I am a bit unhappy with my betta fish business. I cannot sell a lot of my fish haha!.

But that's all right!! I am still love to feed betta fish and love to share useful information to you forever.

Today I would like to share how to develop betta fish to be a very beautiful fish.

For example , my target is "FANTASTIC WHITE HALFMOON PLAKAT"
My old white hmpk color's blood is not good enough.
I want to make pure white color hmpk with big finnage and over halfmoon form.
The first thing that I must prepare is WHITE HALFMOON MALE and WHITE HMPK FEMALE because their children's color will come from their father and their body will similar to their mother.

These are the fish (pair) that I choose for breeding ( I choose double tails halfmmon male because I cannot found halfmoon at that time)

If you choose the female is HALFMMON ..not HMPK , you will get their children nearly 100% long fin specie.

With this method...In the first generation , I get 20% hmpk ,40% halfmoon and 40% delta.
This is a picture of delta that I get in the first generation.

In the second generation , I choose white male and female hmpk form from the first generation which have cleanly white color and breed them (this called "IN BREED")
I got about 70% hmpk from the second generation.

And yeah!! I do the same in the third generation. I get this male...

This is my way to develop betta fish to be more beautiful fish than the present.

So sad but this is the end of this post.

SHOW!!! Betta fish breeding process

When you choose the best male and female for breeding already and have follow my advice about tips for breeding betta fish.

The next step is put both male and female together into spawn tank. Today I have some hidden pictures during their spawning process and I would like to show it to you.

After 1-2 nights , Your bettas will...
Yeah!!! The male....the female ,and a lot of eggs are dropping from the female's stomach. The male will loosen and hug , loosen and hug...loosen and hug the female until all of female's eggs come out.

Each loosen and hug , the male will looking for eggs and keep them up into his bubble nest (air bubble which on the top of water)

When the male finished breeding process , you can see a lot of eggs on his air bubble nest.

And this is their children after the breeding process finished ,they hatch within 2-3 days.

SHOW !!!!HOW TO PREPARE WATER FOR BETTA FISH

Today is a very good day!!
Hehehe...I want to show how to prepare water for betta fish. Let's see it together.

I prepare water for betta fish with this 30 gallons plastic tank.

And I usually add a little salt into water for betta fish. !! A little salt only. For 30 gallons of water, I add salt about... Let's see the picture.

Yeah!! 30 gallons of water...just add salt about the above picture. That's enough!!

The last component is...
Indian Almond Leave. Only one big size leave for 30 gallons of water.

For Indian Almond leave , you can add 2 , 3 , 4 , 5... leaves but I add only 1 leave because the color of water will change to a little yellow which I can see my betta fish's natural color. If the color of water change to dark yellow or brown , I cannot see my betta fish's natural color.

Then add tap water to the tank until full of tank. Add salt into the water and put Indian Almond Leave into the water. Leave it at least 1 day and pull Indian Almond Leave out of water tank. Now you can use this water for your betta fish but the better way is wait another 24 hours because all of clorine will evaporate.

I usually prepare water for my betta fish with this solution and replace betta fish's water 2 times per week.
NO DISEASE , NO FISH ILL...THEY ARE ALL HEALTHY AND ACTIVE. HAHAHA!!!!

How does salt important for betta fish?

I usually add a little salt when I prepare water for betta fish. Salt can reduce stress of betta fish and increase ion to tap water. The best ratio when you add salt to water for betta fish is 1 ppm - 3 ppt. (1 ppt = 1 g / 1 liter of water and 1 ppm = 1g / 1 ton of water)

Salt also reduce disease growing rate. Betta fish live in a backwater so it is great if you add a little salt into it. Salt can protect them from disease.

When I send fish to my customer who live in other countries , I never forget to add a little salt into betta fish's water.
Yeah!!!! SALT REDUCE BETTA FISH' S STRESS. HALFMOON SPECIES WILL BITE THEIR FIN IF THEY ARE VERY STRESS!!!!

HERBAL MEDICINE FOR BETTA FISH : INDIAN ALMOND LEAVE

Indian Almond Leave is know as a herbal medicine for all types of aquarium fish for a long time.
They are known to have antibacteria and antifungal properties.

Betta fish is known to be induced to spawn by just putting a few of the leaves into their tank. Fish suffering finrot or injuries (such as spawning injuries) or sickness will definitely benefit from having the leaves in their quarantine tub. They also can be used for the usual aquariums too.

Indian Almond Leave has an important chemical which call "Tannin". Tannin is benefit for all types of aquarium fish. It reduce pH of water to a little acidic which in range 6-6.5 so this is the reason that Indian Almond Leave has antibacteria and antifungal properties. Disease is difficulty growing at this pH range.

Yeah!! Indian Almond Leave also has properties in the treatment betta fish from sickness.
You can use Indian Almond Leave as medicine for betta fish by follow this instructions:

1. When soaked in water these leaves will leach a strong brown dye that is full of organic acids like humic acids and tannic acids. These may be useful for inhibiting many types of bacteria as well as to detoxify harmful heavy metals found in the aquarium.

2. Put the sick fish into this prepare water.

You also can use Indian Almond Leave for the healthy fish ,too. Just add some Indian Almond Leave water into the healthy fish's tank. This will protect your fish from disease and keep them still healthy. I usually take care my betta fish with this solution.

How to raising baby betta fish!!!

This is the most important knowledge if you want to be a quality breeder. The next step after you finished spawn your lovely betta fish is raising their children to grow to adult.

The first of my experience in raising baby betta fish , I can feed them alive 8 betta fish only!! hahaha. After that I try to raising them with carefully and I observe that what make they are happy and growing up with the higher rate. And this is the best solution from my experience...

1. I choose the ready male & female for spawn. More details click here.
It will give you the bigger fry (bigger baby betta fish). This means that the fry will healthy and growing up with easily....and give more high survival rate.

2. Prepare optimize spawn tank before spawn them. More details click here.

3. Follow this advice : Tips for spawn betta fish

4. Now you receive a lot of baby betta fish which are 2-3 days old.

5. Give baby betta fish with dissolve chicken red egg for 7-10 days.
Warning!! Give dissolve chicken red egg to the fry 2 times dairy and don't give it too much each time because the water will rot. You can add a little of new water when the fry is 6-7 days for slow down the bad water condition.

You also see the floating oil on the top of water surface. Please follow this solution for remove the oil. If you don't remove the floating oil , water condition will be bad because oxygen cannot dissolve into water. You just...
Put newspaper's paper cover the top of water and wait about 5 seconds then push it up.
Repeat this solution 3-5 times. The oil on the top of water's surface will be removed.
And add a little of new water to their tank.

6. Now the fry is 10 days old. The next food that I feed them is water flea. More details click here.

But I know that somebody cannot find water flea so I advice Brine shrimp. More details click here.

Feed baby betta fish with water flea or brine shrimp for 2-3 weeks with 2 times dairy.
Warning!!! If you feed baby betta fish with brine shrimp more than 3 weeks , baby betta fish will swimming with strange manner.

7. Now baby betta fish are about a month old. They can eat Mosquito Larva , Red water worms and Frozen red blood worms.
I also recommend steam egg. It is the useful food for the fry because the fry can eat it all day. You put steam egg into their tank in the morning and remove the rest of it in the evening.

Feed your lovely baby betta fish with these food and try to train them to eat Pellet food during this step.
As soon as they can eat pellet food , it is easy for you now!!.

8. Now your baby betta fish is big enough. If you have a water condition problem , you can replace water with siphon hoses.

9. Separate them when they are 2-2.5 months old because they will bite each other.

10. Try to spawn and raising baby betta fish with yourself!!

The last food for betta fish that I advice is "Artemia".
Artemia is brine shrimp that grown to be adult.

In the nature artemia live in the sea or salt water ,so we must clean the salt in it with tap water about 2-3 times before we give it to our betta fish.

Artemia is the most cleanly food for betta because it lives in salt.

Warning!!!
Give too much of artemia to betta fish will cause them indigestion and betta fish will die soon with no way to solve this problem.

Tips&Tricks about how to hatch brine shrimp's eggs

I would like to offer this method to hatch brine shrimp's eggs with convenience and safe a lot of time. Let's see it.

1.Prepare water bottle about 1 liter and cut out the bottom of bottle. Then wear it with rope. Hole the opening and lace oxygen line with beady contact switches and adjust the level of wind. See the picture

2. Prepare salt.

3.Add salt to the bottle 1 tbsp.

4. Add brine shrimp's eggs, 1 tsp or depending on the amount you want to fish.

5. You will get it. See picture.

6.Add clean drinking water to nearly full.

7.Line bottle with the oxygen.

8.Open valve. Brine shrimp will go around the bottle. Leave it about 24 hours.

9. After 24 hours. Close valve and leave it about 20 minutes. The baby artemia will be at the bottom and shells will float on top.

10.Then put it into another box. Clean it with tap water about 2 times. Now it is ready for fry (baby betta fish).

FOOD FOR BETTA FISH : 8. Brineshrimp's eggs (Artemia)

What is Brine shrimp?

Brine shrimp is...
hm.. Let's see the picture.

Brine shrimp is a very small egg. Sometime we call "Artemia's egg".
If I cannot find "water flea" , I will use Brine shrimp for baby betta fish. It's a bit difficult for use and it is very expensive. The brand which has high percentage hatch (more than 90%) will very expensive. So now I avoid to use brine shrimp for baby betta fish.

After you open Brine shrimp's can ,you must keep it by cover it with carefully , avoid humidity and separate it for enough use. The rest of it ..keep it in refrigerator.

If you cannot keep it as well , it will be rotten. And you cannot use it again.
I will post tips&trick about how to hatch brine shrimp's eggs later.

FOOD FOR BETTA FISH : 7. Water flea

The best food for fry (baby betta fish) is water flea because water flea has a lot of protein and digestible. Fry love to eat them. It is the main food for growing up baby betta fish.

Water flea is very small size. I usually use for feed fry when they are 7-10 days old. I feed baby betta fish with water flea for 3 weeks after that ...I feed baby betta fish with red water worms.

In Thailand , I can buy water flea easily. I think if I cannot find water flea , I cannot raising betta babies. It is very important!!!

But if you cannot find water flea...I have another food for betta babies. It may not good as water flea but you can raising the fries with this food ,too. It is "artemia's eggs".

For more details about artemia's eggs. I will explain how to use it for babies betta later.

FOOD FOR BETTA FISH : 6.Yolk (chicken red egg) solution

This type of food is best for baby betta fish which is 3 days old.
I always feed babies betta with yolk solution 7-10 days before give them another food type.

This is methods step by step to make the yolk solution for the babies betta :
1. Cook chicken egg by put it in boiling water.
You will get this..

2. Choose only yolk..

3. Put it in a large water and disperse it..

4. Strain it and now it is ready for use for children/babies betta fish..

5. Use your hand to drop this yolk solution in betta babies tank. Drop a little of it around their tank.

Don't drop a lot of yolk solution each time you give the babies food because water condition will bad.
Give the betta babies this yolk solution 1 time a day is enough.

Tips for breeding betta fish

Many betta fish lovers used to fail in breeding betta fish. I used to fail ,too.
Main problem is betta fish male or female isn't ready for breeding or the breeding tank is not optimize for them.

This is some tips for prepare the breeding tank for betta fish : click here

After the spawn tank is ready , this is the following advice :
1. Let the male and the female look at one another about 7-10 days. You can see the male makes a lot of air bubble on his tank. This means that he is ready.

2. Put both the male and the female into spawn tank and close spawn tank by a closer but open slightly for air transfer.

3. Wait about 2 days. You don't need to give any food to them during this step.

4. Open a closer and look for their eggs which is on bubble nest.
If you can see their eggs....catch the female out of spawn tank.
You can give the male a little food.

5. Wait about 3 days. You will see their children.

6. Their children have food for 3 days after they born (food from their eggs), you don't need to feed their children with any food for 3 days.

7. After 3 days, You feed their children with dissolve red chicken egg.

8. Feed betta fish children with dissolve red chicken egg for 7-10 days.

PREPARE SPAWN TANK

This is my advice about how to prepare spawn tank for betta fish.

1. Clean your spawn tank with salt or KMnO4.

2. Add tap water into your spawn tank with 3-4 inch height.

3. Add aqua plants into your spawn tank. Please see picture.

4. Add Indian almond leaves about 2 leaves.

5. Leave it at least 2 days.

6. Now your spawn tank is ready.

7. Put the male & female betta fish into this spawn tank.

FOOD FOR BETTA FISH : 5.Steam egg

Today I want to offer you this amazing food for betta fish. I think you can make it at your kitchen because it is steam egg. I would like to explain how to make it with picture details.

1. Prepare your chicken egg.

2. Strike an egg into a bowl and then add water into an egg.

3. Mixing egg until it is combined together with water.

4. Put it into hot plate.

5. Heating and wait about 15-20 minutes. An egg is cooked by steam.

6. After that you will receive a complete steam egg.

7. And then put it into baby betta fish's tank. The adult betta fish also love to eat this steam egg ,too.

Is it easy to make ?
You can feed your betta fish with this steam egg for a long time by keep it in refrigerator.
But be careful water's condition.

1. I breed my lovely betta fish with these plastic tanks. I receive betta fish about 40-50 fish in each batch breeding ( per 1 tank ).

2. These are my babies betta fish. They are white platinum color.

TAKE CARE BETTA FISH

This is my way about how to take care betta fish.

1. I replace the old water which dirty with the new water 2 times per week and I add a little salt in their new water.

2. I feed them by frozen red blood worm in the morning and pellet food in the evening.

3. I let my betta fish look at each other for let they flare all of fin about 1-2 hours per day. This make them exercise and they will healthy.

This is enough to make your betta fish active and healthy.

FOOD FOR BETTA FISH : 4. Red water worms

Red water worm is very valuable betta food. Betta will growing faster and has a perfect form quickly. It is available for at least 1 month old betta fish.

You can keep red water worm for your betta about a month. They still alive if the water is good enough. But the major problem of water worm is about the dirty. This type of fresh food is the top of impurities. Before give it to your betta fish you need to wash it well.

If you don't wash it good enough , the disease will come.... such as stomach parasites.

The third food for betta fish that I recommend is "Pellet food" because it is comfortable and does not make sewage as quickly as fresh food.

But I don't advice to use pellet food for a long time because it don't have enough nutrients reached for betta fish.

You can easy find pellet food at the fish shop nearly your home. There are a lot of brand but I advice that you must buy pellet food which has protein at least 42%. Your betta will quickly grow and healthy with this 42% protein or more.
